Original composition & scoring
I write original music for songs, films, television, games and other creative projects. Sometimes the starting point is a melody; other times it's a scene, a character or a particular atmosphere. I enjoy figuring out how the music can become part of the project rather than just sitting behind it.
My interests range from guitar-driven music to orchestral-style arrangements, acoustic writing and more atmospheric electronic sounds. I particularly enjoy music that feels a little mysterious, bittersweet or imaginative, but I'm always interested in trying something different.

Music for film, television & games
Original themes, cues and music written around the tone and pacing of your project. If you've got a scene, a short film, a game concept or even a rough cut, I'd love to hear what you're making and what kind of musical direction you have in mind.
Original songs & instrumental music
If you're developing a song or want a new instrumental piece, I can help with musical ideas, melodies, harmony, arrangement and recording. We can start with something you've already written or work from a broader idea.
Themes, arrangements & musical ideas
A short recurring theme, an arrangement of existing musical material, a guitar-led piece or something more layered — not every project needs a full soundtrack. I'm happy to work out the right scale for what you're making.

How we'd work together
1. Tell me about the project. Share the story, tone, references, footage or demo you have so far. You don't need everything finalised to start a conversation.
2. We'll work out the brief. We'll discuss the music you need, the style, timeline, revisions, budget and intended use.
3. I'll develop the music. Depending on the job, I can share ideas or work-in-progress recordings at agreed stages so there's room for feedback.
4. Finalise and deliver. Once we've agreed on the result and final payment, I'll send the formats and versions set out in the quote.

Pricing & use of the music
Composition and scoring are quoted individually because each project is different. Tell me what you're making, roughly how much music you need and what it's for, and I'll give you a quote.
We'll also agree on how the finished music can be used. For original compositions, I generally retain the underlying composition copyright unless we negotiate something different, while licensing the agreed use for your project. Exclusive rights or a buyout can be discussed as part of the quote. Ownership of recordings and any songwriting shares are dealt with separately where relevant.
Have a scene or song in mind?
I'd absolutely be keen to hear about it. Tell me a bit about the project, what you're imagining and what you've already got, and we'll see what we can come up with.
