Session guitar recording

I'm a Melbourne-based session guitarist, recording electric and acoustic guitar for artists and other music projects. Whether you're after a solo, a solid rhythm part or guitars across an entire song, I'm happy to work from your ideas or write parts around what you've already got.

I record remotely for people across Australia and overseas, with the files delivered digitally. I'm also available for in-studio sessions across Melbourne and Victoria by arrangement.

Custom guitar solos — from $95 AUD

A lead part written and recorded for your track. It might be melodic and understated, fast and technical, or somewhere in between. Send me the section, the sound you're after and any references you've got.

Studio sessions in Victoria — quoted individually

I'm available for studio sessions across Victoria. Send the location, date, likely session length and what you need. I'll quote for playing time, preparation and travel, with extra expenses agreed beforehand. Studio hire and engineering are arranged separately unless we agree otherwise.

Rhythm guitar parts — from $120 AUD

Electric or acoustic rhythm guitars to fit your song. I can follow an existing part, work from a chord progression or help figure out an approach. Double-tracking and additional layers can be discussed as part of the brief.

Guitar for different kinds of music

A lot of my playing has grown out of rock and metal, especially expressive lead guitar and improvisation, but my interests go well beyond that. I'm just as interested in a clean acoustic part or a small melody that sits in the right place. If you've got a reference in mind, send it through.

Full guitar arrangements — from $225 AUD

Guitar parts developed across your song, whether that needs rhythm layers, melodic lines, harmonies, leads or a combination. We'll work out what the track needs before I start recording.

Tell me about your track

Send a track link, a rough mix or a few details about what you're recording. Email david@davidwymanmusic.com or use the form below.

All prices are starting prices in Australian dollars for remote recording. There are no automatic song-length or track-count limits; we'll agree on the scope, deliverables and deadline before we begin.

For remote recording, I normally include up to three rounds of reasonable changes within the original brief. New parts or a substantial change of direction are quoted separately before extra work starts.
