David Wyman Music | Last reviewed: 13 October 2026

I’m David Wyman, an independent musician and sole trader based in Victoria, Australia. I respect the privacy of people who visit my website, enquire about music services or book a session, performance or online lesson.

What information I collect

Depending on how you interact with me, I may collect your name, contact details, enquiry or booking information, event or project requirements, correspondence, billing records and any files or references you choose to send. For a student under 18, I also collect the parent or guardian details and permissions needed to organise tuition safely. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely needed and we have agreed on an appropriate way to share it.

My website provider and connected services may also process basic technical information, such as device, browser and website usage data, in order to operate the site securely.

How I use information

I use information to reply to enquiries, prepare quotes, arrange and deliver services, communicate about bookings, process payments and refunds, keep required business records and respond to requests or concerns. I do not sell client contact lists or use confidential project recordings for unrelated promotion.

Marketing emails, if offered, are optional. I will only add you to promotional updates after a separate, express opt-in. Every marketing email will provide a way to unsubscribe.

Who may receive information

I use Wix for website operation and may use appropriate email, invoicing, payment, video-call and file-storage providers as needed. These services may process information on my behalf, potentially in other countries; the specific providers and arrangements depend on the services actually in use.

I may occasionally work with session musicians, audio engineers or AV hire providers. Before disclosing identifiable confidential project information or unreleased recordings to an outside creative collaborator, I will seek your approval and limit what is shared to what is necessary. Information may also be disclosed where required or authorised by law.

Cookies and embedded media

The website uses cookies necessary for it to work. If basic site-usage analytics are enabled, non-essential analytics cookies and similar tracking will only be used after you choose to allow them. I do not intentionally use advertising or remarketing trackers. You can decline optional tracking and change your preference through the website’s Cookie Settings control.

Links and media from YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud or other services may have their own privacy practices. Where practical, external media will open only after you choose to load it; otherwise I may provide an external link. Those providers’ own terms and privacy notices apply.

Client files and lesson recordings

I keep confidential client recordings and project materials restricted to the agreed work. I do not submit confidential or unreleased client material to external generative-AI services. I do not automatically record online guitar lessons. Any agreed private educational lesson recording needs separate permission; for a child, this must include the parent or guardian’s prior written permission. Lesson recordings are not authorised for public or promotional use.

Security, storage and retention

I take reasonable steps to protect information and limit access. Unbooked enquiry records are kept only while reasonably needed and are periodically reviewed. Project audio may be retained as a courtesy for up to 12 months after delivery, without guaranteed archiving or recovery. Consented lesson recordings are normally kept for up to 30 days after the lesson, unless lawful circumstances require otherwise. Accounting or other legally required records may be kept longer. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure.

Access, correction and privacy concerns

You can ask what personal information I hold about you, request correction or deletion where appropriate, or raise a concern by emailing david@davidwymanmusic.com. I will consider requests in line with applicable law and any legitimate recordkeeping or safeguarding obligations.

I may update this policy as services, technology or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
